V1) When I couldn't hold my light, you held it for me When I couldn't take my pain, you took it for me When I didn't know my truth, you knew it for me And now you leave me here, you leave me V2) When you took your last breath, I watched you go All you did for me, I hold it close You brought me to my knees and broke my heart Wide Open Chorus) Let my heart break, soul ache Still here for you I need you like you needed me oh I need you like you needed me Let my heart break, soul ache Still here for you I need you like you needed me oh I need you like you needed me oh Let my heart break, soul ache Still here for you I need you like you needed me oh I need you like you needed me oh V3) You taught me to dance, feel the rhythm in my bones You taught me to sing and let my feelings flow You brought me closer to pain and closer to love When I'm scared you're gone, I feel you willing me on And I still meet you there, between sleep and dawn You bring me closer to pain and closer to love Chorus) Let my heart break, soul ache Still here for you I need you like you needed me I need you like you needed me

about

We all shine with our own light, whether we shine in the darkness becoming a lighthouse for others to follow us in our ideas and projects, whether we shine in the light with our spirit, doesn’t really matter as long as we all shine. We as human beings differ from animals that actually have the ability to literally light themselves up, due to chemical reactions and luminescent proteins in their bodies. These animals like the Jellyfish, the firefly, the scorpion and some types of squids have the ability to attract their prey with their own colors and light, sometimes they use this light even to protect themselves from attackers scaring them with their radioactive looking neon light. Our human way of spreading our light, as a band, is by expressing our ideas and turning them into music. In this very hard moment for the world we managed to collect our sensations, experiences and influences and turn them into music that expands our light, helping us to go through the darkness of these rough times. The only way of stepping out of a bad situation is working harder. For us Bilbosa, and all the entertainment business it’s been tough, not having gigs scheduled and not being able to tour and share out music with people directly due to the virus. Ayla, means moonlight, and it’s a collection of our four lights put together to do something that we love and that hopefully gives the listener some relief.

about

Bilbosa Genoa, Italy

Bilbosa joined up in 2016 after their previous band “Chaos Del Signor Gaza” was dissolved. The four remaining musicians spent much of their energies collaborating, jamming, and trying to understand what musical route to seek; until, out of desperation their decision of locking themselves up in the recording studio in 2018 fostered the recording of their first official album.
